Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in the year 1966. She was born into a well-off family. The third child in the family. She was raised in an abbey, and there she gained a passion for the arts. After a few years in the convent, she returned to National College of Fine Arts of Dublin. In the end, in the absence of enthusiasm, she decided to take some time off and gave 10 months to recover. As she sat at a caf with her friends, she was approached by a photographer in a still mode who was asking her if she'd consider modeling. As if she had pocket cash, she agreed to yes. Modeling proved both fun and lucrative, and very soon she did it professionally. She could go around the world for commercial ventures after completing modeling agreements. A casting director was impressed by her modeling talent and encouraged her to take up acting. The director sent her to London aged 19 which was where she won an audition to be part of the latest James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). The passion for acting led her to pursue it as a career. Following her debut film, she shot a few TV series in London and Dublin But her most memorable success came when her name was in the role of Aryan seductress in Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
